By request of the Minister of Justice of CuraƧao, ICUC International through its School of Police has developed a Bachelor program in PolicingĀ to optimize the training opportunities of the CuraƧao Police Force.
The program is based on a research study conducted in 2015Ā in CuraƧao , which included Democratic Dialogue sessions, focus groups and a general population survey, aimed at establishing, based on the opinions of major stakeholders, the competences profile of a modern police officer in CuraƧao.
Based on those findings, and with the specific objective of establishing a program based on excellence, suitable not only for CuraƧao but for other Dutch Caribbean, Caribbean an Latin American countries, ICUC International joined forces with the Police Academy of the Netherlands, a natural ally of CuraƧao, and with DINAE, the National Direction of Schools of the Colombian Police. With their participation and support, we have developed a four-year Bachelor program in Police Science and will soon develop the Masters program.
